Non-profit leader and community advocate Abel Pacheco announced his campaign today for Seattle City Council District 4. He ran for the same seat in 2015, and in 2017 became a finalist to fill Position 8, a citywide seat left vacant by longtime Councilmember Tim Burgess. A District 4 resident for nearly a decade, Abel has lived in Wedgwood, Wallingford, and currently resides in Ravenna. He has an exceptional track record leading on state and local policy issues as Director of Strategic Engagement for Washington MESA - Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement, a STEM pathway program for young women and students of color.
